Margaret Burke - Founder & CEO
Margaret is passionate about partnering with law firm leaders to help them achieve their unique goals. Leveraging decades of experience consulting with lawyers, Partners, and small to mid-size law firms, she founded MB Law Firm Consulting to help fill a need at small to mid-sized law firms: experienced and effective help. Margaret specializes in strategy, operations, finance, culture, and marketing, and has advised and led acquisitions, relocations, succession planning, restructuring, and start-ups. Earlier in her career, she served as CEO of a Boston-based law firm and helped launch and build a consultancy that provided services to law firms.
Margaret earned her MBA at Sawyer Business School at Suffolk University. A lifelong learner who prioritizes professional development, she is a Certified Legal Manager (CLM), Yellow Belt Legal Lean Sigma, and Certified Professional Coach. She is also an active member of the Association of Legal Administrators (ALA) – currently serving on the Programs Committee – and is proud to be recognized as an Excellence in the Law in Firm Administration and Operations Honoree. When not problem-solving with clients, Margaret can be found cooking fun and funky vegan cuisine, mastering her latest kitchen gadget, taking a barre class, or traveling with her husband.
Kirsty Roux, Esq - Law Firm Consultant
Kirsty Roux is a highly skilled licensed attorney and former managing partner who helps law firms run smarter and more sustainably. She brings deep experience in law-firm management and real-estate conveyancing, with a track record leading operations, finance, HR/payroll, and end-to-end legal transactions. She has guided firms through acquisitions, restructurings, and other inflection points, turning complex, multi-stakeholder work into clear decisions, accountable plans, and steady execution. Colleagues value her attention to detail and practical judgment; clients rely on her to build repeatable processes, strengthen compliance, and improve matter economics without losing sight of team culture. Her time as a managing partner helps her relate to clients’ pressures and business realities. She partners closely with attorneys, administrators, and finance teams to align strategy with day-to-day workflows, establishing sensible KPIs, refining billing and trust-accounting practices, and standing up simple dashboards that keep everyone focused on results. She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and a certified practitioner in the DISC behavioral assessment. Outside work, Kirsty is a proud mom and an avid student of great wine and winemaking.
Laurin D. Johnson, Esq., LL.M. - Law Firm Consultant
Laurin’s extensive background in both the legal industry and in operations gives her a deep appreciation for the demands of running a law firm. A former trusts and estates attorney who worked closely with attorneys across the country as Membership Experience Director with USA 500 Clubs, she brings first-hand knowledge and a unique skill set to helping clients build practices that are both strategic and sustainable. She also holds an LL.M. in Taxation, a credential that deepens her understanding of complex financial and organizational structures within law firms. Laurin is an analytical and creative thinker with extensive experience developing and executing intentional growth initiatives and change management programs. Resourceful and results-oriented, she partners with law firm leaders to tackle challenges and achieve success in areas where they most need support, including streamlining operations, preparing for transitions, and building pathways for leadership. In addition, Laurin holds certification in the DISC behavioral assessment, enabling her to provide deeper insights into communication and leadership dynamics within law firms. Clients value her attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and uncanny ability to navigate high-stakes situations with agility and diplomacy. She channels her focus and perseverance beyond the office into the equestrian world, where she has shown Morgan horses to multiple national and world titles.
Tanja Milojevic - Operations Manager
Tanja Milojevic is an Operations Manager who thrives on solving complex problems and building systems that keep businesses running like clockwork. She has a strong foundation in workflow optimization, digital systems implementation, and scaling startups. With over 6 years of experience, she’s led workflow transformations in SaaS, 3D real estate, and international logistics. Before joining MB Law Firm Consulting, Tanja led complex operational transformations in high-growth companies, implementing agile and EOS systems, and developing scalable SOPs that enhanced collaboration, efficiency, and performance. She holds multiple certifications in Monday.com, and is currently advancing her credentials in PMP, Agile, and EOS Integrator training. Outside work, she’s a risk-taker who loves languages, travel, and sports and brings that same energy into every project she leads.
Claire Starbuck - Client Success Marketing Manager
Claire has over a decade of experience in the digital marketing landscape. With a foundation in business management, she discovered her passion for marketing early in her career and honed her expertise in strategy, lead generation, paid media, and digital transformation. Her love for strategic problem-solving sets her apart in the fast-paced digital world, and she takes pride in creating innovative, data-driven marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences and deliver measurable growth. Claire’s dedication to continuous learning and delivering exceptional value for clients includes completing the University of Pennsylvania’s “AI Applications in Marketing and Finance” program, equipping her with cutting-edge insights to integrate AI into marketing campaigns. When taking a break from the digital world, she finds inspiration and balance in nature, whether camping or enjoying motocross adventures with her family.
Valentina Giraldo Lozano - Executive Assistant
From the boardrooms of Colombia to community projects in Africa, Valentina Giraldo Lozano has built a career around keeping leaders focused and organizations moving forward. She blends high-level executive support with a global perspective, coordinating complex schedules, communications and projects across cultures and time zones. With a foundation in global politics, sociology and data science, Valentina brings a strategist’s mindset to every administrative detail: anticipating needs, streamlining workflows and using modern tools to make operations seamless. Her experience spans supporting executives, managing grants and orchestrating initiatives that empower women and strengthen communities around the world. Valentina thrives at the intersection of organization and impact: an Executive Assistant who doesn’t just manage logistics but helps leaders realize their vision. Outside of work, she stays active playing tennis, rock climbing and traveling, which fuel her energy and creativity.
